FAQ

School WiFi: Common Questions

How do students and staff sign in?

With member logins: each student or staff member gets an ID and password, with their own time, data and device limits. Visitors can use a separate network with OTP login.

Can we limit usage per student?

Yes. Plans set time, data, speed and device limits, and free-access rules can cap daily time and data. Limits are enforced by the router through RADIUS, so they apply wherever the student connects on campus.

Can we separate hostel, classroom and staff WiFi?

Yes. Each network (SSID or VLAN) can have its own captive portal, login method and plans, all managed from one console, with usage reports per network.

Which routers are supported?

MikroTik routers today: the console generates the RouterOS script that sets up the hotspot, RADIUS and walled garden. Other RADIUS-capable gateways are planned.
